Dheeraj Sareen
Founder & Executive Foodie
Born and raised in New Delhi, India to a family of professionals, travelers, foodies and sports enthusiasts, Dheeraj had the fortune to experience many cuisines and cultures not only in India but across the Asia Pacific, Europe and America. Playing golf through school and eventually placing on the college golf team at Hillsdale College in Michigan, he pursued Financial Management. To supplement his American college experience, Dheeraj attended a study abroad program at the London School of Economics, focusing on Global Business Strategy. His love for food has been a bit out of the ordinary while he pursued the above.
After graduation, Dheeraj returned to India and while working in consulting, he started taking another passion of his, DJ'ing, more seriously. He began playing across India and opening for prominent DJ's around the country, in numerous clubs and festivals. This passion led him to Pyramind in San Francisco where he studied the art and business of music production. Currently, Dheeraj helps build marketing and growth teams for start ups in the Bay Area.
San Francisco's awesome food culture ignited his second passion and determination to enter the restaurant business. Here he met the likes of some of the best chefs, GM's, bar managers, servers and entrepreneurs this exciting city has to offer. Leveraging his experience and picking the brains of each one of his friends / advisors (they will vouch for how much he bugged them) and also working on taste / instinct, Dheeraj is now backing some of these visionaries in food to help build on an already impressive Bay Area food culture.
